Tanwir Zaidi – CEO
Is a graduate of NED with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1973. He had a brief stint as a Lieutenant in the Engineering branch of Pakistan Navy for two years. Thereafter, he worked with Government of Abu Dhabi, Water & Electricity Authority (AWEDA) for 32 years. He was appointed Coordinator to install a 320 MW Power Plant gifted by Govt. of Abu Dhabi to Govt. of Pakistan. He has also worked as CEO, Dhabian Power Engineering Ltd, chaired by HH Shaikh Khalifa Bin Shaikh Zaid Al Nehayan. GoP issued LOI to this company to install a 784 MW, Combined Cycle Power Plant at Khan Garh in the Province of Sindh.
Commander (Retd) Salim Shaikh – Director
He joined Pakistan Navy in 1971 and has over 24 years’ of Naval and 20 years’ of Private Sector experience. This experience covers various fields like project management, leadership, human resource development, administration & operations, personnel training, security & intelligence besides agriculture. Worked in adverse environments and achieved desired goals working as a Team.
He is a graduate of the Turkish Naval War College Istanbul (MS Strategic Studies) with distinction, an MBA (Management) from the Institute of Business Administration Karachi, MSc (Rural Development Economics) from Sindh University-London University Link Programme. He is also an Anti-Submarine Warfare Specialist from Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center San Diego with distinction, and Operations & Weapons from Virginia USA. He is also a holder of Master Mariners Certificate and qualified Dredging Officers Course at Rotterdam, Holland.
Also engaged in Agriculture in Tando Allahyar trying to innovate and maximize output from his existing land holdings.
Zafar Akhtar – Director
He is a BE in Mechanical Engineering from NED in 1968, DIC (London), M.Sc Eng. (Imperial College, University of London). He has a total experience of more than 40 years. Is an International expert in Project Development and management of mega projects. He has worked for 10 years in Pakistan in Atomic Energy Corp., PPL, Sui Gas Transmission Co., Pak Arab Refining Company; with 32 years in Project Development, Engineering/Construction & Management of Oil, Gas, Petrochemical mega Projects in Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He is experienced in Project Development, Engineering and Management for Oil Refineries, Petrochemical Plant and Regasification of LNG Terminal, in International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), Abu Dhabi. Recently retired from IPIC.
Syed Azam Ali – Director
He has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore in 1970. He has a total of more than 35 years experience of working in Power Generation Industry and Allied industry. His expertise covers Power Generation Project Development, Engineering, Management, Advisory and Consultancy. He has worked extensively in Management of Operation & Maintenance of Power stations in Pakistan, Integrated Power Generation & Sea Water Desalination plants in Oman, Fabrication / Construction and Engineering of Waste Water Treatment Plants & Soya Bean Extraction plants in UAE and System Engineering of Power Generation Facility in USA.
Arshad Yaqoob Raja TI (M) – Director
In a career spanning 29 years, Arshad’s tenures at different levels of Military & Government institutions and later private corporations including MNCs have provided him with a unique opportunity to work extensively in dynamic and challenging roles. The diverse job assignments from heading projects to leading variety of organizations in increasingly more responsible management positions, has enabled him to acquire and develop his entrepreneurial skills. His qualifications in IT, Business Management and Law have been his strengths in practical life.
Based in Singapore, Arshad’s assignments with private sector had provided him with an opportunity to work with business community that helped him develop an insight into finance, business and corporate structures. He has been extensively working with the representatives from APAC, Europe and Middle East.
Shahzaib K. Hashmi – COO Overseas
Shahzaib Hashmi has been a finance executive for over 22 years. With a BS in Political Science from University of Southern Colorado, MS in Economics at University of Nebraska, and he joined CitiGroup’s Smith Barney. After 5 years there came to Karachi and got associated with asset management industry working in investment advisory, sales and distribution of mutual funds. He left Lakson Investments as Vice President where he contributed for 11 years. He has recently joined this Developmental Economics company as it’s Chief Operating Officer.
