HOSPITALITY SECTOR
Hospitality ventures require a localized, thorough understanding of the market and its business. IHS specializes in the intricacies of analyzing, acquiring, re positioning, managing and marketing both “high & mid-market” hotel properties.
As a strategic partner, IHS Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd and R E Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd (www.retechpk.com) have formed an alliance to develop hotels in Pakistan under Pak Hospitality (Pvt.) Ltd. Our goal is to own, develop, and manage international hotel chain in Pakistan. As an owner operator of multiple franchises in the US, our relationship extends to evaluate the existing hotel market in Pakistan. We are very excited to be in communication with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) (www.ihgplc.com) Asia Pacific office, to discuss opening Pakistan for their world class brands – InterContinental Hotel, Crowne Plaza, and Holiday Inn.
We are happy to report that IHG has approved eight hotels for Pakistan, comprising two InterContinental hotels at Karachi & Islamabad, three Crowne Plazas at Lahore, Multan, Gwadar, and three Holiday Inns at Karachi, Nathiagali and Bhurban. Our first project would be Holiday Inn, Karsaz, Karachi at a site leased by Pakistan Navy. LOI & Franchise Agreement for Holiday Inn Karachi have been issued and financial close is expected by November/December this year depending on LOI from PN.

HEALTHCARE – HIGHLY SPECIALIZED MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS
RETech has planned to develop and execute 4 Highly Specialized Hospitals for the Government of KP with the support of its Strategic Partners – China Rainbow International Investment Co. Ltd. (CRIIC), besides acting as the main contractor.
RETech has signed a Joint Venture (JV) with 67rockwell Medical Solutions GmbH Germany, which has international experience in turnkey projects in the health sector including operation of hospitals. We strongly believe that this JV will provide the people of KP with highly specialized urgently needed medical treatment.
We are in the process of replicating these in the other provinces as well.

SUSTAINABLE FARMING
This Project is directed at creating a sustainable self-sufficient food security program. This model once established will be able to be duplicated in other provinces providing foreign exchange earnings whilst providing food security for the own people. Food security is the new focus of all countries and international organizations to alleviate poverty in many countries.
The various sectors to be harnessed include Cattle Farming, Dairy Farming, Poultry Farming, Goat/Sheep Farming, Processing Plants/ Abattoirs, Biogas & Waste Management. The emphasis will be on providing Halal products from “Farm to Fork”.
We are working with the Balochistan Government to establish an Integrated Sustainable Farm on the Makran Coast near Hub.

SHIP BUILDING & REPAIR
China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is fast becoming life line of Pakistan. The size of the CPEC has been increased to more than $55 billion after China agreed to upgrade the main railway line from Karachi to Peshawar at a cost of $8bn. Major portion of CPEC program will be spent on energy projects to ensure Pakistan enters new era in a bright and enlightened environment. Though the whole of Pakistan and each and every individual of this country will benefit from CPEC many major and less developed areas of Pakistan will be direct beneficiaries of the economic activity generated by this project.
Currently, Pakistan has only one shipyard at Karachi port but that too is sometimes unable to provide services to shipping industry because of congestion and comparatively away from international shipping routes.
Due to CPEC, the importance of Gwadar as a busiest port of the region has achieved much significance. RETech in collaboration with Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works (KSEW), China Shipbuilding Company (CSIC) and China Rainbow (CRIIC) is intending to set-up a state-of-the-art Ships Repair and Building facility near Gwadar. RETech has teamed-up with Bahria Foundation to pursue investment in this sector. The likely site would be Ras Pishukan or Khor Kalamat along the Balochistan Coast.

OIL & GAS/REFINERY
RETech has ventured into the refinery sector. The two petroleum refinery projects under study/consideration by RETech team along with their Associate companies are Indus Refinery Ltd and Sinopec Refinery Relocation Project on 300 acres near Port Qasim on National Highway.

INDUS REFINERY PROJECT
Indus Refinery Project has a capacity to process 150,000 Barrels/day of crude into refined petroleum products for consumption within Pakistan. Design of the Refinery is based on Arabic light crude and products would meet Euro 5 Specification. However, during detailed design, provision will be incorporated to process other economical international crudes as well. Refined products would be Diesel, Gasoline, LPG, Naphtha, Jet fuel, Sulphur, etc. The overall order of magnitude cost is about US$ 8 Billion. Project Schedule is about 6 years. Preliminary process engineering was developed by UOP and SNC Lavilin. LP modeling was performed by Jacops. Marketing Study, Economic Feasibility, site selection and EIA have been completed.
SINOPEC REFINERY RELOCATION PROJECT
Sinopec China one of the largest refineries in the world has an existing Refinery located in Xian City in China. Due to local environmental reason, Sinopec had to shut down this refinery in 2015. The Refinery operated a maximum of 10 years from completion. In partnership with RETech, it intends to relocate this refinery to Pakistan. Retech’s team is studying the relocation of this project and believes that there may be two prospective locations in Pakistan for the Refinery installation. First one is Gwadar and the second may be Port Qasim adjacent to the understudy Indus Refinery Project. This Refinery has a capacity of 50,000 barrels per day. There are two processing trains, one process train is designed for heavy crude and produces Asphalt. The second train is designed on light crude and produces Diesel, Gasoline, LPG, Sulphur, Naphtha, Benzene, Propylene etc. Products Specs meet the Euro 4 requirements.
